Our researchers, directed by the Prof. Nereo Bresolin, Prof.Giacomo Comi and Prof. Stefania Corti, took part at the International Congress held at Hinxton, Cambridge from 4 to May 6, entitled:
DEVELOPING NEW TREATMENTS FOR MITOCHONDRIAL DISEASE
bringing a very specific contribution on Mitofusin 2 with the study named:
Selective mitochondrial depletion, apoptosis resistance, and increased mitophagy in human Charcot-Marie-Tooth 2A motor neurons – prepared by : Dario Ronchi, Federica Rizzo, Sabrina Salani, Monica Nizzardo, Francesco Fortunato, Andreina Bordoni, Giulia Stuppia, Roberto Del Bo, Daniela Piga, Nereo Bresolin, Giacomo Pietro Comi, Stefania Corti, Dino Ferrari Centre, Neuroscience Section, Department of Pathophysiology and Transplantation (DEPT), University of Milan, Neurology Unit, IRCCS Foundation Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, Milan, Italy” with the support of MITOFUSIN 2 PROJECT.
This was an important contribution to that excellent International Conference on mitochondrial medicine, focused on new therapies development against mitochondrial diseases, which was attended by the principal global specialists in the field of translational mitochondrial medicine in order to of engage and inspire a new generation of researchers able to develop new technologies to prevent and treat those devastating diseases.
We are going to publish the full text just as soon as it will be officially released.
Our gratitude and compliments to all the researchers involved. We are very proud of you!
